Best Casino Game and All You Need to Know About Crap Bets!

Craps are a lot easy to pick up than most individuals accept. The basic principle is straightforward: you’re gambling on the conclusion of a two-dice rolling. The only feature that helps the action complicated is the variety of bets available. The majority of these wagers are simple, but the sheer number of them makes the […]

Review for Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution for PS3

Ever want to rule the globe with an iron fist? Be the most cultured nation on earth? Or have such a scientifically superior race that you become the first to colonize Alpha Centauri? Well, then let your wildest dreams come true in Sid Meier’s latest Civilization titled Revolution. Bandar Ceme really helped me in improving my game with the useful and amazing tips that were mentioned on it webpage. If you are looking for ways through which you can improve your gameplay then you should definitely check this link out.

I have logged over 30+ hours on this game in less than 2 weeks. It is that addicting. If you are a fan of any turn-based strategy game, such as risk, then this game is for you. You start out choosing your race ranging from the ancient Greeks to the powerful Germans or the elegant English. You start out with nothing but a lowly band of settlers that you command around the world map to find what you consider the best place to lay the foundation of your vast empire. But be forewarned, these settlers are defenseless, so the quicker you set up shop the better.

From the beginnings of your first city, you will be able to construct warriors. They are the basis of all war units but after completing your first unit, I recommend sending them out exploring. You discover barbaric city’s close on and will need to conquer these to acquire new cities. Once you have 2 or more cities you can build a road which will facilitate your units to move from city to city in one turn. This becomes very helpful. You research upgrades for your civilization that include the discovery of the alphabet, ranging all the way to researching life support techniques for your space station. Once you discover another Civ’s unit or city border you have the option of declaring peace. Or you can just crush their feeble cities under the mighty hammer of your armed forces. How you play is all up to you. With four different ways to win the game, the options are nearly limitless on how you decide to play.

The online gameplay is excellent. While I did manage to run into a few hiccups in the matchmaking process, I just hosted my own games and didn’t have a problem. I would recommend using a wired connection rather than a wireless one due to the fact that the information is sent/received much faster. You can play with up to 3 other people online. And again how you decide to play is totally up to you. Rushing armies into the fog of war will not always produce a win, even though its a blast ruining someone’s city before they even get their first wonder built.

I gave this game an 8.5 out of 10. The graphics on the PS3 are beautiful but cartoony is the look they decided on. And I am not at all saying that is a bad thing. it really works for this type of game. The replay value is very high. You will be playing these games for months on end. The only downfall I found was in the online matchmaking. But that could be my connection or lack of players online. Hopefully, most of you reading this will go and purchase this game and we can match wits on a global scale.

Super Mario World on Super Nintendo for Super Fun

When I was growing up, I knew of only two things that entertained me: 1) toys and 2) TV. I thought, man, these are all a kid needs to spend some quality entertainment time. But, on one humid summer afternoon, everything changed.

You see, I never had a gaming system before my parents bought one for my brother and I that day. I was mostly in love with cartoons and toys, sort of like a teenager being obsessed with iPhone and txt messages. But, when I got my first ever Super Nintendo (SNES), my entertainment of choice was forever changed. But, it wasn’t just the SNES that did it; it was the game that came with it, Super Mario World. That’s right, World, not Bros. Why the difference? Because I had played Super Mario Bros. at my friends before, but it never got my attention that much. It was, in a way, too simple for my young sophisticated taste. You had Mario, who jumped, occasionally threw down some fireballs, and moved from left to right. There just wasn’t enough for me to keep playing. It is very addicting just like poker online site. You will never run out of things to do in super Mario world. It is certainly one of the best games that could entertain you. You see, the world of supermario is not yet over. It is still kicking and very much existing.

However, with Super Mario World, it was completely different, yet familiar at the same time. You still had the same character, but OMG it was so much better. From the instant you turned on the system, the 16-bit graphic (which was a monumental upgrade from the original NES’ 8-bit graphics) just made you want to glue your eyes to the TV. There were no more pixelated blocks or dull colors. It was smooth and bright. It was, for its time, a visual masterpiece.

And it didn’t stop there. Mario now had various moves that weren’t there before. He could spin, fly, pick up turtle shells, and ride Yoshi. Yea that’s right, Mario was no longer adventuring alone in his world. He had a kick-ass buddy that could save him in need, and give Mario additional moves. But the thing that gave me the most interest was the not-so-linear game play. Maybe it was my boredom with the linear play of Super Mario Bros., but World gave Mario and I the ability to explore the game’s world through various world levels to play. Needless to say, I felt in love with the game and could not let go, even with my parents screaming at me to turn it off from time to time.

Of course, in time, I grew to enjoy other, more sophist aced games, like CounterStrike and World of Warcraft. However, there are times, when I still look back at that gray system in my attic, and can’t help but be amazed by how gorgeous Super Mario World was, and still is.

Dungeons and Dragons Player’s Handbook 3 Makes Its Debut

On Saturday, March 20, 2010, the first day of Spring was also the Game Day for the Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition Player’s Handbook 3, and quite a game day it was. Getting a look at the new classes was a lot of fun, and now that we finally have psionics back in the game, a lot of us who were anxiously waiting are relieved.

The big offering this time around is the long-awaited debut of psionics to 4e. Until now, players have had to whet their whistles with the playtests in Dragon Magazine, but only up to Level 10. Player’s Handbook 3 establishes the Psionic power source into the 4e world, and as with the Primal power source before it, it comes with some more elaboration on the history behind it. During the long-ago age of the Dawn Wars between the gods and the primordials, there existed a powerful gate between reality and the Far Realm. This gate, according to the stories passed down, was eventually discovered by a group of gods and opened, loosing the horrors of the Far Realm. Turning their attention temporarily from the threat of the primordials, Ioun and Pelor destroyed the gate and sealed the rift in reality. In the wake of the incursion of the Far Realms, psionic powers began to manifest, allegedly as the universe’s natural defense against the incursion of the tear in space.

Player’s Handbook 3 introduces four new races to players, some formerly monsters or races from older editions made more PC-friendly, and others entirely original creatures altogether. For revamped monster races, we have the githzerai and the minotaur making their long-awaited jump from Dragon Magazine to the core. The shardminds and the wilden are entirely new creatures to the DnD canon. In addition to the new races, Wizards has picked up a new way of doing racial ability modifiers. Each race has one primary modifier, and then the player is given a choice between two other modifiers. For example, Githzerai all get a +2 to Wisdom, but a choice between a +2 in Dexterity or Intelligence.

Shardminds are constructs who arose from the physical and psychic residue from the destruction of the Far Realms gate. Their bodies are composed of crystal, and are infused with psionic energy. Their ability modifiers cover Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma, encompassing the whole of the “mental” stats. Obviously, though still constructs, they represent a very different type of construct that the Warforged. Wilden, on the other hand, are quite clearly primal in their origin. Wilden are fey creatures who are commonly considered to be the primal spirits’ response to the incursion of creatures from the Far Realm. The wilden are plant-like fey creatures, whose bodies are formed of wood, leaves and vines. As might be expected, they favor the druid and shaman.

After the races come the real meat of the book: the Psionic classes. The new psionic classes are: the Ardent, a leader who aids his allies and hinders his enemies by controlling emotions and thoughts, the Battle-Mind, a defender that uses psionic magic to manipulate his foes and turn aside attacks, the Monk, a striker who frankly needs no explanation, and the Psion, a controller who uses her mental powers to afflict her enemies and wreak havoc on the battlefield. The Seeker, a primal controller, and the Runepriest, a divine leader, fill out the classes. Out of all of the new classes, my personal favorite on Game Day was most definitely the monk. Between the flexibility and the sheer joy of landing a flying kick on something halfway across the battlefield, the monk is hard to beat out. Not to downplay the other classes, of course.

One of the big themes of the PHB3 is flexibility, especially in the psionic classes. Instead of having the traditional set of encounter attack powers every few levels, psionic characters (except for the monk) instead have a pool of power points, which they can use to augment their at-will powers, spending as many or as few as they want. This makes them far more versatile and able to adapt to situations on the fly than their counterparts from other power sources. Your pool of power points increases over time, and you gain and lose at-will powers as usual throughout your progression. It all comes together to create a really interesting effect. Which the system is a bit more involved than the traditional 4e power structure, it yields a lot to an experienced player, newbies be warned. Overall, the PHB3 is definitely worth spending your money on, and it’ll make a great addition to your table.

All in all, a worthy debut for Dungeons and Dragons where the level playing experience is quite an exciting venture to dive into with occasional Domino99 vibes in the bargain is what makes it riveting to overview again and again with something new to learn each time.

Why It’s Stupid to Play Online Poker!

In case you’re wondering, yes I was stupid enough to play offshore online poker for real money. Here’s what happened to me:

I registered at three offshore online poker sites, ParadisePoker.com, PokerStars.com, Judi online, and FullTiltPoker.com ParadisePoker.com were running a “Free Roll” “Texas Holdem” million-dollar tournament. “Free Roll” means you don’t have to pay the entry fee, but you can only enter once without paying an entry fee. I entered the tournament and sat down at my computer to play. I was winning for a while, then I was dealt with “Pocket 10s.” In “Texas Holdem” everyone is dealt two cards face down called “The Pockets.” After a round of betting, three cards are dealt face-up on “The Board.” This is called “The Flop.” The three cards in “The Flop” are common to everyone at the table’s hands. After another round of betting another card called, “The Turn”, is added to “The Board.”. After another round of betting another card, called “The River” is added to “The Board”. After another round of betting is finished, the cards of the last player who “Raised” or bet are revealed. If the next player in line has a better hand, his “Pockets” are revealed. If it is a losing hand the player can either reveal his “Pockets” or “Muck.” “Muck” means the player lost and chose not to reveal his “Pockets.”

With “Pocket” 10s I decided to make a “value bet.” A “value bet” is a moderate bet designed to get the other players to “Call” rather than “Fold” to a big bet. One player called and one player went “All In.” A pair of tens is very good “Pockets.” I decided to either win a big pot or “Bust Out” of the tournament. “The Flop” was King – 10 – 7 so I had three tens, an excellent hand. “The Turn” was a 7, my hand still looked good. “The River” was a Jack and my hand didn’t look so good. 10 – Jack – Queen – King made a “Straight” a good possibility. The first player revealed his “Pockets” for two pair, Kings and Queens. I revealed my 10s for three of a kind. The player who forced us “All In” revealed A – 5 for an Ace-high “Straight”, and two of us were out of the tournament. The “Lucky Idiot” who won the pot didn’t have, even a decent shot at winning the hand when he went “All In”, he only had Ace – 5. The Player with “Pocket” King – Queen actually had a better probability of winning than the “Lucky Idiot” had. What kind of idiot gambles his tournament life on Ace – 5 “Pockets?”

I went back to playing for “Play money chips.” This all happened before the law that prevents banks from transferring funds to the offshore online poker sites took effect. I found that the play on PokerStars.com was, in my opinion, better than the play on the other two so I played there. After turning 1,000 chips into 100,000 chips I decided to have my bank transfer $50.00 to PokerStars.com and use my “skill” to win some money. I played for real money, but my “luck” was terrible and I lost it. I played for “play money chips again and soon turned the 100,000 chips into over 550,000 chips. I decided to give it another try. By this time the law that prevents banks from transferring funds to the offshore gambling sites had taken effect so I bought a cashier’s check and sent it to PokerStars.com.

When the $50.00 was deposited in my PokerStars.com account I began to play for real money again. Again, my “luck” went south. There was a one-half hour or so stretch where I had “pocket” Aces twice and “Pocket Kings once and didn’t win any of the three hands. I remember thinking about what terrible luck I had. I don’t remember if the winner forced me “All in” before “The Flop” or not, but I dropped most of the $50.00 during that stretch.

The last hand I played for real money was “Pocket” Ace – 3 of diamonds. The Flop was 8 – 7 – 6 of diamonds. I made a bet and one player went “All in.” My first thought was “Damn, does he have a straight flush?” I decided to chance it since I didn’t have much left anyway so I put the rest of the money I had into the pot. “The Turn” was a “deuce”, and The River was an 8. The other player turned over 8 – 7 for a full house and beat my Ace-high flush. What kind of idiot bets “All In” on two pair when looking at a probable “Flush” on “The Board” when all he has is two pair? Recently it hit me! Not an idiot at all, what if the game is rigged?

My profession is a computer programmer and I should have spotted the “Ruse”, but I’ve always been naïve and trusted people until they give me a reason not to. I try not to trust people, but old habits are hard to break. The gambling sites could have special software that allows them to see what “Pockets” everybody has and can even choose what cards fall on “The Flop”, “The Turn”, and “The River.” They don’t even have to have a real person play and win. “The Ringer” at the table could even be a computer-generated player. They are smart enough to make sure that “The Ringer” doesn’t win every hand, but even if it’s only programmed to win the statistically probable one in nine hands, they have nothing invested in the game and end up taking money from “The pigeons” at the table. What if it wasn’t my skill at all that allowed me to turn 1,000 play money chips into over half a million? What if they were letting me win to lure me into sending them some money? A little bit sobering to realize that you are probably not as good a poker player as you thought you were.

And, what about the “Free Roll” tournament? Using special software would allow them to “Bust Out” the “Free Roll” players and lure them into sending in entry fees to try again. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the online tournament winners are “Rigged” to win before the tournaments even begin.

Even if the poker site is on “the Up and UP” there is another scenario that I have worked out. Buy a four computer router for under $50.00 and invite two or three friends to bring their laptops over to play online poker. All set in the same room with their computers hooked up to the same poker site and the same poker table. Just imagine what an advantage three or four players co-operating at a table have over the other players. Of course, you make sure that the cities that display when someone puts their mouse pointer on your “Avatar” are different. The other players would get suspicious if three or four players at the table were from the same city.

I’m sure that there are college students trying exactly that at their dorms “Fleecing” people who are stupid enough to play online poker for real money! I don’t believe it does them any good though. If the software the online poker sites are using is what I think it is, there is no way to beat the house. Conclusion: “It’s Stupid to Play Online Poker for Real Money!”

BBVA Compass Bowl Preview, Predictions, and Betting Lines – Pittsburgh Vs. Kentucky

2011 Compass Bowl Preview

The University of Kentucky enters the BBVA compass bowl with an overall record of 6-6. The Wildcats struggled in SEC play this year going 2-6, although one of those victories was against a solid South Carolina team. Pittsburgh went 5-2 this season in Big East Conference play and had an overall record of 7-5. This will be Dave Wannstedt’s last game as coach of the Pitt Panthers and it has been rumored that he won’t be on the sidelines at the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham. Well if you are thinking about betting on this game then you should definitely try situs judi qq online that will give you a seamless experience in terms of betting. Moreover, you also get safe and payment to and from the bank making this platform really popular among people that are interested in betting.

When Pittsburgh has the Ball

Pittsburgh ranked 68th in the nation in scoring this season at 26.3 points per game. Sophomore quarterback Tino Sunseri played well for Pittsburgh this year. Sunseri finished the season with 2476 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. Running back Dion Lewis came into his sophomore season with Heisman trophy aspirations after a stellar freshman year in which he rushed for 1799 yards and 17 touchdowns. Lewis got off to a slow start this season and ended the year with 956 yards and 12 touchdowns. In the season finale against Cincinnati, Lewis had his best game of the season with 261 yards and 4 touchdowns on 42 carries.

The Wildcats ranked 73rd in the nation in scoring defense at 28.5 points per game. Kentucky’s defense had trouble rushing the passer with only 21 sacks on the season and they only had 8 interceptions in 12 games this year. Look for Kentucky to load the box against Pittsburgh to try to slow Dion Lewis.

When Kentucky has the Ball

The Wildcats were great offensively this season with a balanced attack that scored 33 points per game. The key to Kentucky’s offense this season was the play of quarterback Mike Hartline. Unfortunately for Wildcat fans, Hartline will not play in the Compass Bowl after being suspended following an arrest for alcohol intoxication and disorderly conduct. Fortunately for Kentucky, they still have a dynamic playmaker in wide receiver Randall Cobb. Cobb had 955 yards receiving, 401 yards rushing, and even threw for 3 touchdowns this year. Kentucky will look for ways to get Cobb involved on offense with screen passes, run plays, and even direct snaps.

The Panthers were solid on defense this season giving up less than 20 points per game. Pittsburgh’s defense had 30 sacks and 13 interceptions as a team this year. The key for Pittsburgh will be to make sure they know where Randall Cobb is on every play and try to take him out of the game.

2011 Compass Bowl Betting Lines and Prediction

Pittsburgh is currently favored by 3 1/2 over Kentucky in the Compass Bowl and the over/under is set at 52. The loss of quarterback Mike Hartline is going to hurt Kentucky. I like Pittsburgh to win and cover the 3 1/2 points behind a big game from Dion Lewis. With Kentucky missing it’s quarterback and Pittsburgh running the football I am confidently putting my money on the under.

Determining Your Buy-in for a Poker Cash Table

Determining your buy-in at a poker cash table can be a tricky decision, and depending on whom you ask depends on what kind of answer you will receive. However, your starting amount can be very important and affect the way you play and whether or not you win or lose.

First of all, what is a cash table? A cash table is a table that you sit down at and exchange chips for cash. Your buy-in amount may be different than the other players and you can get up and leave any time you like. This is not a tournament where you play till the death. Players at your table may come and go. Even when someone loses all their money they can rebuy back into the game, giving them a second chance to win your money.

How much do you need to sit down at a cash table? This answer is subjective and depending on where you look will depend on the answer you receive. Most pros say you need anywhere between 30 and 50 times your big blind. If you are playing no limit Texas holdem for blinds of one and two dollars, then most pros suggest you sit down with around $100. However, you will often see people buy in for 100 or 200 times the big blind. For limit poker, the pros suggest buying in for around 30 times the big bet. This means if you are playing 2-4 limit, you should sit down with around 120 dollars. However, you might see players sitting down with 20 dollars at a time. You may want to sit down with half of that. The choice is really up to you. It depends on how much you are willing to risk and what kind of game you play. Do you like to have a big stack and bully the other players around? If that’s the case, then buy in at the maximum and make those buying in at the minimum pay (almost all tables will have a minimum and a maximum requirement). If you are a more conservative player and don’t want to lose more than 50 dollars, well then don’t sit down with more than 50 dollars. One of the benefits of cash tables are that you control the dynamics of your bankroll. You don’t have to wait for a good run to accumulate chips to start bullying the table, just buy in big!

Determining your buy-in also will help lead you to proper bankroll management, which is a must for any aspiring poker player. Picking a number you are comfortable with will help take the focus off money and help you enjoy the game and maybe even become a successful winning player! At the Dominoqq sites, the payment will be done through the credit cards. The money stolen from the credit cards will be retrieved back through the players.

The Gambling Three No Trump Convention for Duplicate Bridge Players

Preempts are supposed to cause problems for opponents. Sometimes they caused problems for the bidding side. One such problem arose when playing a strong three no trump opening bid. Preempts in minor suits might be predicated on any thing from a suit like QJ10xxxx to AKQxxxx. The first suit would play badly in a no trump contract. The second would likely produce seven tricks. With the advent of the strong two club bid the strong three no trump opener was no longer needed. Thus was born the gambling three no trump bid.

The gambling three no trump bid requirements are very simple:

The bidder must have a solid seven card minor suit and no outside entry. It is now very easy for responder to gauge the trick taking potential of the hand. If he thinks it has a good chance of making he simply passes. If he thinks three no trump is a bad proposition he bids four clubs. Opener passes this with clubs or bids four diamonds to correct. With an interest in slam responder may bid four diamonds. This asks opener to show a singleton. With a singleton heart or spade he bides four of the corresponding suit. If he has a singleton in the other minor he bids four no trump. With no singleton he simply bids five of his minor.

Note that there is merit in bidding four no trump with no singleton and five clubs with a singleton in the other minor. When slam is not in the offering it allows the partnership to try for the game at the four level. But just like playing Dominoqq, it does require a bit more memory work, however.

On very rare occasions responder may bid four hearts or four spades over three no trump This is strictly to play and opener should pass.

The gambling three no trump bid is best played when responder is an unpassed hand.

Defensive tips: Be wary of the psychic responder at match points when the other side opens a gambling three no trump. When not vulnerable versus vulnerable and game likely for the defensive side some clever players will psych a three no trump response, hoping to intimidate you out of the auction. They figure that down nine undoubled is better than letting you bid a vulnerable game.

Also, when the auction has proceeded three no trump – pass – pass -pass, be wary of a passive fourth best lead. Declarer may be able to rise with an honor in dummy, win the trick and steal an unmakeable contract. Don’t hesitate to lead an ace or even a king in order to retain the lead, see dummy, get information from partner and make an intelligent lead to the second trick.

NCAA Tournament: Round Two Sunday Picks Against the Spread

The NCAA Tournament second round Sunday games have a few good betting opportunities and games to stay away from. The Las Vegas Sporting Consultants have released the opening lines for the NCAA Tournament’s last eight games of the opening weekend on Las Vegas Insiders, see here. The scores for this game are bound to be written in 먹튀검증 for its sheer magnitude of brilliance.

The most interesting spread is the Wisconsin spread -3.5 over Cornell. Wisconsin enters this game with possibly the best defensive team left in the NCAA Tournament and comes up against a Cornell team that has already beaten a strong #5 seed in Temple.

All times listed are Eastern Standard Time and all spreads are opening lines released shortly after the match ups were determined.

12:10 PM Syracuse -3.5 versus Gonzaga

Gonzaga’s days as an NCAA Tournament Cinderella team are over and as an NCAA Tournament # 8 seed, Gonzaga will not surprise NCAA Tournament #1 seed Syracuse. Syracuse should have their center, Arinze Onuaku in good health for this and he may be the key to making Gonzaga stay outside.

Gonzaga is a team that can get hot shooting from the outside and if they do, it could spell trouble for Syracuse. This game will be closer than many think, look for it to be won on the last shot of the game and Gonzaga will cover the 3.5 points.

2:20 PM Ohio State -5 versus Georgia Tech

NCAA Tournament #2 seed Ohio State, skated through their first round game and facing NCAA Tournament #10 seed Georgia Tech may be a nice draw for Ohio State. A game against Oklahoma State may have been a tougher draw than the ACC’s Georgia Tech.

Ohio State will need to get out early on Georgia Tech but once they put them behind by ten, they should cruise to and easy 10-15 point victory. Take Ohio State -5.

2:30 PM Maryland -1 versus Michigan State

NCAA tournament #4 seed Maryland wasn’t given much love in fact when Dan Patrick had Gary Williams on his radio show Thursday he told Williams, “I hate to tell you coach but I am taking Houston over Maryland on my bracket.” Williams laughed and said, “That’s okay I will remind you about that after we win.”

Maryland draws a tough game against #5 seed Michigan State, the defending NCAA Tournament runner ups. This version of the Michigan State Spartans is not nearly as strong as last years team. The spread tells the story of this game. It will be a hard fought win for either team. This game is a coin flip and games like this shouldn’t be bet. Stay away from this game and don’t bet.

2:40 PM West Virginia -6 versus Missouri

NCAA Tournament #10 seed Missouri was an 11.5 point underdog to Clemson and now they are only a 6 point underdog to NCAA Tournament #2 seed West Virginia. Interesting line choice on this game. West Virginia struggled early in their first round game and Missouri had a hard fought win over heavy favorite Clemson. It looks like a little too much respect for Missouri. Take West Virginia -6.

2:50 PM Wisconsin -3.5 versus Cornell

Wisconsin is the best defensive team left in the NCAA Tournament, coming in as an NCAA Tournament #4 seed Wisconsin draws Cornell after they beat Temple who was a 5 point favorite over them. Cornell came into the NCAA Tournament as a #12 seed and now will again be the underdog as the face Wisconsin. Another spread that gives a little too much respect to a high seed in Cornell. Take Wisconsin -3.5.

4:50 PM Pittsburgh -2.5 versus Xavier

Xavier has been a trendy pick in NCAA Tournaments past but now everyone knows who Xavier is and how to say the name. Xavier came in as an NCAA Tournament #6 seed and as they prepare to take on Pittsburgh, an NCAA Tournament #3 seed they are again in their familiar underdog position. Maybe Xavier will feel more comfortable as the dog in this game. The spread is too short to take Xavier in this game or make any bet.

5:00 PM Texas A M; versus Purdue Pick Em

Purdue has a chip on their shoulder, especially after everyone picked them to out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Purdue was first downgraded by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee to a #4 seed and then to top that off all the NCAA commentators were picking #13 seed Sienna to beat them.

Purdue went out and beat Sienna and now have a tough Texas A M; team that is an NCAA Tournament #5 seed. Well Purdue may be motivated but without Robbie Hummel, Purdue will fall to Texas A M.; Bet Texas A M.;

5:15 PM Duke -6 versus California

California played an awesome first half against a disappointing Louisville team and kept their distance through the second half as Louisville could never get on track. NCAA Tournament #1 seed Duke, wasn’t challenged in their first round game and California, an NCAA Tournament #8 seed will be a tough challenge for the number one seed in the South Region.

California will be in this game until the end and they have a great chance for the upset. California will cover the 6 points over Duke and don’t be surprised if the win outright.

Mistakes in Considering Our Opponent’s Hand in No-Limit Hold’em

Human beings are creatures of habit, and we have evolved to look for habits in other people as well as patterns in our environment and day-to-day lives. Because of this simple fact, we naturally look for patterns and repeating themes in poker. Unfortunately for the aspiring poker player, some of these themes are really tough to nail down because of their elusive nature. Since No-Limit Hold’em is the most played variation of poker these days, we will be examining some hard-to-fine thematic mistakes using plays from this particular poker variation. In this hand, we will be looking at how easy it can be to over-play a decent hand.

Our first hand takes place at a full table with stacks of about 100 big blinds. It folds to a loose player in middle position who calls the big blind. A rather tight, straight-forward player raises to a total of three times the big blind in the cutoff seat. On the button, we look down at the Ace of diamonds and the Queen of hearts and decide to just call the raise. After our call, both the small blind and the big blind decide to call, as does the original limper.

The flop comes the Ten of diamonds, the King of clubs, and the Jack of diamonds, giving us the nut straight (the best possible straight on the board). The pot is 15 big blinds. The small blind checks, the big blind bets 11 big blinds, and everyone folds to us. We put in a nice-sized raise to 30 big blinds, and the small blind folds. To our surprise, the big blind raises all-in for the rest of his stack, and we make the call. The big blind turns of the Queen of diamonds and the Eight of diamonds. When the money goes in on the flop, we will win about 59% of the time and tie about 11% of the time, giving us a huge advantage with a total of about 64% equity in the pot.

So let’s think about what happened here and how the big blind got himself in such a bad spot. Preflop, we just called a raise with Ace-Queen offsuit instead of reraising, which could have made it difficult for our opponent to think that we had such a strong hand. Note that we would also have likely reraised with hands like King-King, Jack-Jack, and maybe even Ten-Ten. So again, it’s very difficult for the big blind to think that we could possibly have better than two pair. Note also that here we use two pair as the benchmark since Queen-Eight of diamonds is a virtual coinflip against Jack-Ten on this flop with just 51% equity in the pot.

It is better to avoid Preflops as they are more of a hindrance and concentrate more on the king and queen, where jack is more of a hanger-on to both of them. Pkv games follow a strategic method so that players are kept engaged right upto the finish.

Whenever we put in the raise on the flop, the big blind should have stopped to think about what sorts of hands we could have. If he had done this, he would have seen that a call on the flop was clearly better since the only hands we will stack off with on this flop are way ahead of him. The lack of this type of re-evaluation of our opponents’ possible holdings is a very popular error these days with hundreds of thousands of people playing No-Limit Hold’em. By examining your own play and the play of your opponents, you can learn to better fool other players and disguise your holdings.

Top 3 Common Scenarios for Profitable Semi-Bluffing in No-Limit Hold’em

The deep stacks of no-limit Texas hold’em allows you to play a variety of hands that don’t have enough equity to value bet, but have just enough equity to make some serious semi-bluffs in situations where you expect to have a lot of fold equity. Additionally, the flexibility of the variable bet sizes in the game allows for more powerful bluffs and semi-bluffs in more spots than the limit variation of hold’em. When you combine the wider range of hands taken to a flop with the flexible betting structure and deep stacks, you’ll start to see patterns of when your opponent’s range is weak, and these recurring situations are what we are going to take a look at.

The first super common situation actually happens before the flop when it’s folded to you in late position and you have suited trash, a middle or low connector, or two middle-rank cards. If you have even somewhat tight players left to act, you can put in a raise to try to take down the blinds because your opponents are going to fold so often it will be profitable. Then the times you get called, you’ll still have a very playable hand in position that can hit a lot of flops. The whole situation is because of the opportunity to make a really profitable semi-bluff before the flop.

The second really common situation happens on the flop when it’s checked to you heads-up and you flop some sort of draw. Your lone opponent checking to you indicates that a large percentage of the time he will not have a hand that connected with the board and will simply fold when you make a bet. Combine this with the times that you bet, they call and you make your hand on the turn and you have another extremely profitable scenario that is set up with a semi-bluff. As an added bonus, if your opponent calls and you miss on the flop, when they check to you again you can simply check behind and get a free card. This adds a lot to your profitability.

A third common scenario that comes up in no-limit hold’em is on the turn when you were the preflop aggressor, missed the flop, and made a continuation bet that was called the Sbobet gameplay that is designed according to the facilities and services of an land based casinos; not only that it also gives the user access to the betting which is the main feature of any casino. If you pick up a big draw on the turn, it can be a great situation to fire a second barrel and try to take it down on the turn. In general, you will prefer to try this when the card that comes on the turn also increases your fold equity, like when an overcard to the board comes. For example, you could hold the A5 of spades, make a continuation bet on a 962 rainbow board with one spade, and then fire a second barrel when the Q of spades comes off on the turn.

No matter what the situation, you should remember a simple rule for semi-bluffing. The more equity you’re going to have when you’re called (the more outs you have) and the more often your opponent is going to fold, the more profitable your bet will be. Semi-bluffing is a crucial part of a winning no-limit hold’em strategy, so it’s important to understand the common scenarios where it is profitable.
